We are proud to call it home. Kato Stalos Mare is located on the beachfront of the popular sandy beach of Kato Stalos, just 7km, west of Chania city. The northwester coast of Chania is particularly popular to visitors thanks to the endless sandy beaches, the proximity and easy access to the city center, as well as other directions via the North Axis Highway. The area is buzzing with touristic life and local flair from dusk till dawn. Everything you may need or desire, during your stay, is available at a small distance. Taverns, restaurants, beach bars, water sports, clubs, bars, coffees shops, commercial shops, super markets, gift shops, ATMs and pharmacies create a rich mosaic of activities all day long. The main coastal road leads to Chania’s city center towards the East. Chania city is definitely a ‘to-do’’ in your holiday itinerary, since the city’s old town is an architectural jewel, showcasing many different historical periods in time, monuments and quaint neighborhoods. Driving towards the West on the Northern Axis Highway, you are heading towards monumental natural beauty and endangered habitats like the beaches of Balos, Falassarna, Elafonisi and Kedrodasos. The road leading to the South is mountainous and curvy, but once you reach the Southern coast of Chania you will encounter a different kind of beauty, more savage, raw and unspoiled. The Libyan sea thrusts against virgin beaches and remote coves. Public transport is also available to our guests, with buses passing by every 30’ connecting you to Chania city. The bus stop is located just 30 meters away from the hotel. Otherwise you may rent a vehicle in order to explore the island.
